Lunatic Moonlight
This work evokes the enigmatic atmosphere of moonlight, where light and shadow intertwine in a silent dance. On the left side of the composition, a barely perceptible shape emerges, almost dissolving, like an apparition fading into nothingness. This shape evokes the ephemeral, the transitory, like a memory that fades with time.
On the right side, a different figure appears: a defined contour, yet hollow. It resembles a rock, smoke, or a portal to the unknown—a “full void” containing infinite possibilities. This contrast between presence and absence, between the dissolving shape and the solid void, creates a symbolic tension that invites reflection on the meaning of emptiness and fullness.
The moonlight, with its deep blue hues and soft reflections, serves as the backdrop where these dualities manifest. The light of the moon becomes a symbol of introspection, of mutability, and of the complexity of emotions. And as the saying goes, “with this moonlight,” it refers to instability, unpredictability, that “lunatic” side we all carry within.
“Lunatic Moonlight” is a work that plays with the symbolism of the visible and the invisible, of the eternal contrast between what appears and what is hidden, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in this dreamlike landscape and contemplate the mystery of duality.
